Packaging is recyclable! Excluding the ribbon which we advise you re-use :P The postal box & tape is also recyclable. Some of the packaging we use is even compostable!

I use fresh ingredients, fruits & essential oils to achieve fresh, quality & natural flavours. Our pralines are far lower in sugar than elsewhere and packed with home roasted nuts. My shop is also palm oil free.

How long do the chocolates stay fresh?

Each recipe has been formulated for “taste” foremost, therefore we always use fresh ingredients and purchase the very best ingredients available. Our boxed chocolates currently have a 3 week consume by date due to the fresh fillings using cream, fruit etc. Bars stay fresh for longer but we advise consuming within 2 months (I don’t think that will be hard!)

How do I store my chocolates?

They will arrive in packaging that will protect them from sunlight, however you must try to keep them cool or away from heat sources. If the place you store them is particularly warm, they will melt and lose their appeal.

The fillings are homemade using fresh cream, butter, fruits etc. We recommend consuming within 3 weeks. Bars are best consumed within 2 months. Make sure you store the chocolates in a dark, cool and dry place out of direct sunlight, but between 15-18C ideally. If you really need them to keep longer you can put them in the fridge in an airtight container, though we do NOT recommend putting them in the refrigerator for several reasons. Our chocolates are always made freshly, to ensure that the customers can consume them at their optimum standard.

How do you get those colours on your chocolate?

We use coloured cocoa butters to either hand paint or spray the beautiful colours on our chocolates. Excluding metallic colours, they are natural fruit powders like cherry, matcha, hibiscus or spirulina in cocoa butter.

How are your chocolates so shiny?

Well tempered cocoa butter! If you want to see more about the process, follow our social accounts @chocolaterieimogen

Are they suitable for vegetarians? Do you have vegan options?

All chocolates are suitable for vegetarians. We have dark chocolate which is vegan friendly and also oat milk chocolate. Stay tuned for more vegan options.

Did you know you can subscribe to my newsletter to be informed of new releases such as vegan options.

Please note, all chocolates are made in the same facility so ‘vegan’ options may contain traces of dairy.

What if I have allergies?

We work in a kitchen that handles dairy, nuts, soya and other allergens so we cannot guarantee that our products are free from these ingredients.

Our plant based/ vegan products are not made with dairy, but please note they are made in a premises where dairy is handled.

The full list of ingredients can be found on the 'Ingredients' page, where the main allergens are bold and underlined. We also include a list of ingredients on the box your chocolates are presented in, highlighting any of the main 14 allergens.

Where are the chocolates made?

Made by me, Imogen in a purpose built kitchen in Somerset. I have had an EHO hygiene inspection, hold public liability cover, completed an allergens course & Food Safety & Hygiene course.

Can I return my order?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our small business and the perishable nature of the products, we are unable to provide returns on most orders. We can only accept returns and issue refunds for orders that arrive broken. If this is the case, we need photographic evidence of the damage to the outer postal box and of the damage to the actual product. This must be sent to us within 24 hours of receiving the order. To be eligible for a refund, you need to return the item to us in its original packaging. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

We ensure to securely & tightly wrap and cushion our chocolates in their packaging where applicable. If there’s an issue with your order, let us know at chocolaterieimogen@gmail.com and we’ll do what we can to make it right for you.

I have a large party/ event... can I buy extra large quantities of your chocolates?

Of course! Please email us at chocolaterieimogen@gmail.com and let’s chat about your needs.
